Like They Do

 

The unexpected is how it always goes

To make an escape is useless,

I've got strength that few know,

But I've got my limits,

 

Everyone does, and that's real,

Never really care how others feel

We go take what we can and carry on

 

I don't wanna do like they do

I wanna stand on my own

They only see my face with this side of me

Maybe one not so beautiful,

But I can see me

 

Isn't that all that matters

Living in a world so selfishly

Never take the time, time to get things right

 

What we all know,

No one will let it show

There's gotta be a better way

Don't give it away, no

 

Tell me can you too

So vulnerable, none really know

And that can mean everything

Give me everything
