I feel it
The ropes tightening
Torn
Between what I know is meant for me
What I might call my destiny

Am I good enough
Plaguing criticisms fill my space
I need to break away
Find myself
And don't go back
Run far away

To escape
What I cannot lose
Escape so I don't have to choose

Stand up and shout
Say it out loud
That I'm made for you
And escape

Haunted
Ain't that how the story goes

Taunted
It's no longer about proving wrong

I just have to come up to breathe
Take off, hit the gas
Chain release
To a different place
And don't look back

I'll forget my fear
Knowing that you are near

They say carry on
Off into the night
Even if you don't see the day
