Invincible

Invincible
By Shaire Blythe

In the moment it feels so right
But when I see you with her, I know that I can cause a fight
It wasn’t suppose to be this way
We were friends, and that’s what we should’ve stayed

Somehow, though, you got to me
You made me see; a brand new you
So grown up from the little boy you used to be
It’s crazy the memories we have in our history

But how can this be
We shouldn’t be happening
And no one would believe how much guilt is in me
I’m the shadow that creeps around with you in the light of day
Our connection feels invincible, like we were the ones meant to be
Obviously, it’s not our time
I’ve been knocking on a man’s door that already has a wife inside
You’re not letting go, but someone has to…
