Do It All Over

I had let go of my pride, All I'd needed was for you to do the same,
I was down for days, hoping you would call and say that you made a mistake too,
That you couldn't let a mishap come between us,

They say that good things, they end, But that don’t mean that something better will not begin,
Such a tragedy it was you and me, I know I gotta still rise up and do it again,

Do it all over…
Let me heart be ran over, without mercy,
And leave me incomplete, But that’s just how it goes,
Do it all over, the good days and the bad,
Tell me when it’s over, I just want to last,

There was nothing to stop the tears from my eyes, I counted the lonely nights,
Was always up, wondering if you were ever doing the same too,
But I knew that couldn’t be the truth, you had a better hold,

I get stuck on this pass, can never seem to conquer the road,
Only searching for a home,

A space that is warm, and keeps me from the bitterest storms,
I keep hitting these damn storms, with no preparation,
I was just thinking…
