Be Still

 

You see the lightning before you hear the boom

Why can't we hear the boom before we see the lightning?

 

You jump to conclusions before you know the truth

Why can't we know the truth and then conclude?

 

Creating scars again & again & again & again, again

Breaking hearts again & again & again & again, again...

 

You can hear the birds from miles away,

Did you think I would never listen?

 

Say I assume, but I know my faith,

Has been shaken by the messes you’ve made,

 

It’s all right, I’m okay,

I must fight, see another day,

And I wont throw my hands up,

Not going to surrender,

I will keep my head up, look up to the sky…
